A Little Pain In My Waist And Back

On Tuesday evening I noticed a little pain in my waist area when I went to the restroom and thought that I may have gotten some kind of infection like I have had before.

On Wednesday the pain was a little more harsh and a little lower. Not wanting to go to the doctor I took an asprin and went on with my day. By that evening the pain was more pronounced and I decided to take a warm bath to try and relieve the pain. This seemed to do the trick and I felt much better from it.

I have had pain in the past in my lower back that was caused by a kidney stone but this pain was in the front and I never thought about this being that.

Everyday I take a fluid pill with my other medicine and on Thursday morning I wake up to excruciating pain and I can't go to the bathroom to p--. I then realize that maybe I have a kidney stone and it is blocking the urine tube. I have passed a kidney stone before and I knew what kind of pain that I was going to endure. This tube is the size of a coffee stirrer and the last one I had was the size of a black-eyed pea. I'm sure you can imagine the pain. It got to the point of so much pain and bleeding that I thought that I was emergency room bound, when I decided to take a hot bath and soak to she if this would relieve the pain. It is amazing what hot water and soaking will sooth the pain. I could feel the stone and I realized that it was trying to come out. I was hoping that I could endure the pain while it did it's thing. I helped it all I could while soaking and to my surprise I felt the stone fall into my hand and knew that the pain would soon be over. The thought that came to me immediately is the saying, "Oh what a relief it is." I know that this is talking about alka-selzer but relief it was.

As you can see it was a large stone and it felt like it was a boulder, but to my relief it is out.

Chloe And Zoe

When Chloe was two years old her Grand Mother saw this doll at the store and it reminded her of Chloe. She knew that she had to purchase it for Chloe and she had planned to save it for her as she got older. When Chloe saw the doll she wanted her immediately.

At two years old the doll weighed as much as she did and she would carry it around by hooking her arms around it's arms and wag her as she walked. The were constant companions.

One day we had friends over for lunch and one of the bigger kids decided to brush her hair and change her hairstyle. We didn't find out about this until later when Chloe came crying to us that Zoe's hair wouldn't stay on.

We put her back into her box planning to send it back to the company to get the hair replaced. She stayed in the box for three years.

One day I was cleaning out some cabinets and found our hot glue gun and decided to restore the hair back to Zoe's head. After the repair I put Zoe on Chloe's bed so that when she came over she would see that Zoe was complete again.

When she saw her doll on her bed it was such a happy reunion. She was so glad to have her best friend again. She told me that she wanted to find her a dress that she could wear on Sunday when we went to meeting that would match the dress that she was going to wear. After looking through some of Chloe's outfits that she wore when she was 1year old, she found the one that she would wear.

Sitting in meeting they were singing together and behaving like precious little children.

Bring On The Bubbles

Chloe loves playing in her bath and she always wants to turn on the whirlpool in the tub so that it makes millions of bubbles.

It's just about high enough for my Princess Castle in the cloud.

We have never had this many bubbles before have we Poppy. This is a grand cloud of bubbles.

I look like I'm floating on a real cloud. This is so much fun, I wish I could do this everyday.

Poppy, did you ever have this much fun when you were a kid and took your bath. No, I never could get this many bubbles in the tub at one time. When I was growing up we never had bubble baths.

Triple Pepper Nachos

Ingredients

7 - 8 inch whole wheat flour tortillas or 4 ounces baked tortilla chips (about 5 cups)

Nonstick cooking spray (optional)

1 - 15 ounce can black beans, rinsed and drained

3/4 cup purchased chunky salsa

1 - cup shredded reduced-fat Colby and Monterrey Jack cheese (4 ounces)

1 - bottled roasted red sweet peppers, drained and cut into strips

2 - 4 tablespoons bottled pepper oncini salad pepper, seeded and cut into strips

bottled sliced pickled jalapeno chile peppers, chopped*

Light dairy sour cream (optional)

Thinly sliced green onions

Purchased chunky salsa (optional)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. If using whole wheat flour tortillas, lightly coat both sides of each tortilla with nonstick cooking spray. Cut each tortilla into six wedges. Place wedges in a single layer on a very large ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp, turning once halfway through baking. Tortilla wedges will continue to crisp as they cool.

2. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan combine black beans and the 3/4 cup salsa; cook and stir over medium heat just until heated through.

3. On a very large ovenproof platter, arrange tortilla chips one to two layers deep, overlapping slightly. Spoon bean mixture on chips. Sprinkle cheese, roasted red peppers, pepperoni pepper, and jalapeno peppers over bean mixture on chips.

4. Bake about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. If desired, top sour cream with green onions. Serve nachos immediately. If desired, serve with sour cream and additional salsa.
