Unfolding The Rose

It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine.

The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
God opens this flower so sweetly,
When in my hands they fade and die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I think I have wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?

So, I'll trust in Him for His leading
Each moment of every day.
I will look to Him for His guidance
Each step of the pilgrim way.

The pathway that lies before me,
Only my heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose.

Seeds or Weeds?

Be careful what you look at
Be careful what you read.
For any of these items
can become a little seed.

Seeds can grow a good thing
If the right seed is found,
It takes a lot of sunshine
and the right type of ground.

But.... there are bad seeds and oh,,,,,,
how they abound.
They grow from weed seeds on
any type of ground.

So look into your BIBLE,
As your journey along the way.
A good seed will be planted
To feed you everyday.

God's the planter of the good seed.
Satan's the planter of the weed seeds.
SO.......Be careful my little children
what you do or see or read.

God loves you his children ,
For, this I surely know.
Because only seeds that are
planted, are the seeds that
surely grow.

Weeds can crowd out
the good seed in your ground.
So weed your garden often,
and much fruit will oft abound.

The Bible tells us often
The Bible tells us so.
How in your little garden,
Good seed can grow and grow.

I'm A Big Girl...,

I found myself looking thru Chloe's baby pictures and this one pulled on my heart strings. Her favorite person is her grandmother, and you can see the special bond that they have. When she was born until about she was almost three they spent nearly every day together. Grandmother has taught her how to sing, enjoy being read to and her love of cooking.

Grandmother's jug..., when we take a picture we have seen this jug in them because Debby loves her ice tea or water with lemon. After Chloe was taken off of the bottle and learned to drink from a cup, whenever she found the jug without grandmother she would get it and drink it up. Her other favorite thing has always been her(mom ma) pacifier. So as you can see it is on top of the jug so she doesn't loose it.

So when I look back at these pictures I'm reminded of that special bond. I see the reason how I fell in love with a loving, caring, special young lady that is so "special" and dear to our heart, she has taught us a lot.

We love you grandmother!!!
